LEAD PHARAMCY TECHNICIAN 5/2015-8/2021, COVID VACCINE INVENTORY SPECIALIST 11/2020-8/2021
Pharmacy technicians are responsible for providing a positive and engaging experience for patients who enter the pharmacy. We type prescriptions that are received, manage inventory, package and label outgoing prescriptions, stay up to date on all HIPAA privacy policies and provide any support that the pharmacist may need in order to keep workflow going. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic many pharmacy technicians, including myself, are also certified immunizers.- In the time of COVID-19 it took a lot of patience and care to provide vaccines to long-term care facilities and multiple stores in an area. I am responsible for managing COVID-19 vaccine inventory, handling the storage procedures
(dry ice handling), and transferring the vaccines to their next location. I also handle all of the inventory that goes along with the vaccines such as syringes, diluent, vaccines cards, and more. It is also my responsibility to educate my fellow staff members on proper vaccine storage and handling so we do not have any waste. ALEXANDRA FRITZ-ABELL
