Consulting Team Member in McKinsey Consulting as client member Aug. 1997 – Mar. 1998

Responsibility was to assist McKinsey consulting team to provide Hyosung Corporation for restructuring business plan and rebuilding the business portfolio due to a financial crisis in Korea.

· Analyzed a business procedure from R&D to distribution and defined corporation's strengths and weakness. Prepared for business portfolio based on maximizing Hyosung's core strengths. Based on this plan, Hyosung has entered US ATM market and partnered with Cross.

Senior Engineer, R&D Center Mar. 1986 – Jul. 1997

Managed fifteen employees in the Mechatronics Development Team to design systems, decide on specifications, build prototypes, support the mass productions by initial-stage problem solving and generate cost reduction formula.

· Developed numerous proprietary interface cards for banking computer systems and received two patents from Korean government for communication interface methods.

· Performed excellent product development of three models of passbook printers which were the intricate electronic-mechanisms including servomotors, sensors, solenoids and other components as well. Accomplished the engineering works from initial development stage to final stage in distribution. Subsequently, received an honorable award from Hyosung CEO for the best developer in 1990. The product became the best selling product in the company's history.

· Programmed assembly language software for several passbook printers and teller's terminals firmware for two years.

· Supported between manufacturing and sales department for planning marketing strategies with excellent communications skills and leadership. Particularly, led numerous project teams to solve the initial mass production issues and operating problems in customer sites with mechanical, software, power supply and manufacturing engineers.

· Received intensive training from Hitachi Japan for ATM system design about a year and obtained a MSEE degree in PA, USA which was sponsored by the corporate for two years.
