The main Project Objectives are to provide adequate conveyance, storage and outfall for the runoff collected from the new surface water drainage system proposed under Central Doha and Corniche Beautification project, to provide safe pedestrian access to the Corniche Road without obstructing traffic flow and maintaining the public aesthetics and beautification initiative. The project includes the following main infrastructure works:3000mm Storm Water Micro Tunnel Network, Storm water Attenuation Tank, Substation and Pumping Station, Rising Mains and New Sea Outfall Structure, Construction of Museum of Islamic Arts Pedestrian Underpass Crossing and Utility Building, Main Responsibilities and Achievements:

Responsible for administration of construction contract works, and assist the RE, SRE with prompt exchange of correspondence, submittals, and RFI's to all contractors.

Inspect construction, including temporary work to ensure compliance with approved methods, project specifications and contract requirements.

Orient assign and supervise the construction inspection staff on a daily basis so that all contractor activities are adequately covered, maintain records of inspections, work executed, Supervise and remain vigilant to maintain quality assurance in accordance with contract, Give practical advice on constructional matters.

Coordinate the interface of the construction work with other contractors on the site.

Project Value: 1.7 Billion Qatari Riyals (USD 466 Million), Duration: 43 Months. The Mesaimeer Road construction and upgrade project is part of the prestigious 25 km long Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor in the city of Doha. The road upgrade extends 4 km along Mesaimeer bridge via Mesaimeer south intersection (Bu Hamour Junction) to south of Al Waab intersection. Parsons is providing construction supervision services for the project. Construction consists of widening the existing road to a four-lane dual carriageway in both directions; constructing new two-level, grade-separated interchanges at Bu Hamour Street with an elevated 900m road on bridge and mechanically stabilized embankment; constructing a new two-level, grade-separated interchange at Haloul Street; constructing a third-level overpass at the existing Salwa Interchange; constructing Qatar’s first cable-stayed bridge measuring 1.2 km long and crossing Haloul Street and Salwa Road; relocating utilities; and performing other auxiliary road works.
