EXPERIENCE

Bright Beginnings Childcare

Assistant Childcare Provider/ February 2021-September 2022

This center facilitated care for ages infant to Pre-K. I mainly worked with the toddler group. For about 3 months I was a head teacher to a group of 4 toddlers by myself. I occasionally worked with other age groups. This center provided full-day childcare. This job also included breaking down and cleaning the center during closing and opening.

I worked at this job while simultaneously going to high school. My job here was some of my first job experience other than seasonal retail positions when I turned 16. I learned the importance of having good, solid connections to the people you work with. I was also taught the importance of having responsibility, as the job required me to look after children.

T.J Maxx

Retail Associate/ September 2022-September 2023

T.J Maxx is a department store where I worked part time for about a year during my first year of college. My position at this job involved working on the cash register, the sales floor, and assisting markdowns and inventory.

My time at this job supported my previous experience in working on a team, as well as time management and juggling priorities (attending school and work at the same time). This job also enhanced my public speaking skills and I got used to providing customer service. I really enjoyed the feeling of going out of my way to be kind to people in this everyday setting.

Stowe Early Learning (Enfield Public Schools)

Assistant Teacher, Paraprofessional/ October 2023- August 2024

I work for the PK STEAM program at Stowe. This program’s curriculum specializes in, science, technology, engineering, art, and math. It is free to Connecticut residents who meet the eligibility requirements. This program facilitates an inclusive classroom. I am a full-time teacher’s assistant who works with one classroom of students. I also participated in the integrated summer program at Stowe as a paraprofessional to a group of children with special needs .

Through this position, I have adopted the job of being a one-on-one support to a child with autism. I have taught myself appropriate practice through sought-out shadowing and in-job training. I have also worked with this child’s occupational therapist and speech pathologist.

High school Education and Diploma: Enfield High School. Attended from August 2018-June 2022. Honors and AP student.

Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education: CT State Asnuntuck Community College. 3.97 accumulative GPA . Dean’s list standing. Member of Phi Theta Kappa. President of Student Government Administration.
