Supported SLR Digital I&C Upgrade project at Dominion Energy. Project goal was to modernize the Main Control Room via Westinghouse Ovation 3.8 DCS Platform. Responsibilities included: review of S&L design change modifications for impacts to plant Operations/Maintenance procedures, perform training needs analysis and develop operations training material to support both non license and license requal programs. Provided HFE and Operation input to design team. Supported CV/PV validation per NUREG 0711 HFE Safety Review.

2018-2022- Sr. Operations Instructor – INPO Certified NTG Instructor

Qualified as Simulator floor Instructor and L3 platform operator. Presented classroom instruction on system operation, Off-Normal and Emergency Operating Procedures. Develop exams and programmed simulator scenarios for training and exams using L3 platform. Evaluated/Modified crew performance to ensure station operation standards for nuclear safety and performance were consistently prioritized and executed in simulated scenarios. Additional Duties: Operations Training Department self-assessments, external Audit, and lesson plan development based on training needs analysis and plant modifications. Achievements: 100% (33 out of 33) NRC exam pass rate during last two consecutive LOC classes. NERO Positions- EOF Technical Advisor and Operations Coordinator

2015-2017 I&C Maintenance Manager:

Responsible for a shop of 65 instrument technicians, supervisors, work planners and training instructors. Implemented policies and procedures to improved shop efficiency from 85 to 98 % and schedule stability to >95%. This was accomplished by aligning work priorities with operations, implementing a work readiness accountability at T-2 program, and coaching staff on fundamental behaviors changes. Served as department chairman for Training Oversight Committee, and member of Reactivity Oversight Committee. Supported plant NERO staffing as Operations Coordinator in Technical Support Center.

2007-2015 Senior Reactor Operator (On Shift):

Primary responsibility was day to day operations /oversight of 1300 MWE nuclear generating station in accordance with plant procedures and Technical Specifications. Reviewed and released all daily maintenance activities for the station. Outage assignment included: Fuel handling SRO, Test Director for LSFT, LLRT Coordinator, and Work Control SRO for equipment release.. Additionally, served as station fire brigade leader while assigned field supervisor duties. Other projects included Digital Recirculation/Feedwater control, Incident Response Team leader and contractor oversight for AOV/MOV valve team.

2003-2007 Reactor Operator: Daily monitor and control of reactivity to support maximum station generation. Conducted plant testing to support logic system functional technical specification requirements. Additional testing for Digital Feedwater and Reactor Recirculation control system modification. Supported Tag out process as System Operating Representative responsible for the daily administration of the clearance and tagging program. Responsible for generation of protection orders for mechanical and electrical work on plant systems. Generating condition reports, procedure changes and serving on committees for Operations Training and Plant health.

1998-2003 Plant Operator: Typical Duties: Monitoring plant equipment for abnormal operation, equipment PM performance, applying/removing protective TAG OUTS to support maintenance activities. Member of station fire brigade team. Major equipment operated included; Steam Driven Turbines, Boilers, Compressors, Demineralizers, Radioactive Waste Processing, Electrical Breakers and Load Centers up to 13.8kV, Pneumatic and Hydraulic control systems using HMI interface.

1995-1998 Service Technician Getinge Castle Corp.

Provided field support for installation, testing, and maintenance of steam and gas sterilization equipment to the hospital and pharmaceutical industries. Installation of Plumbing and electrical services to support equipment operation. Developed and marketed PM program for certification of hospital sterilization equipment. Sales of consumable products to support sterilization maintenance and testing.

1986-1995 Instrument Technician - Various Nuclear Stations(Pilgrim, SSES, Oyster Creek)

Performed general plant calibrations of temperature, pressure, level and flow loops; Undervessel Neutron Monitoring Instrumentation to include TDR and IR cable testing. Performed surveillance testing and predictive monitoring on critical equipment. Additional assignments included; I&C procedure rewrite project and startup testing for NUMAC Hydrogen injection system.
