Directed work elements for the casting and joining of the Washington State DOT SR520 Floating Bridge & Landings project (Bellevue to Seattle) across Lake Washington.

WSDOT SR 520 Floating Bridge Replacement Project. 2011-2014 Achievements:

Coordinated, and executed the towing of one of the four state supplied defective pontoons to Portland, OR and back to Lake Washington without incident or further damage.

Used Vigor Shipyards’ largest submersible Dry-dock to raise the 360’ long, 11,000-ton pontoon out of the Willamette River to make repairs as directed by Washington State DOT.

Staff and crews worked 12 hours a day, 6 days a week to complete the required pontoon repairs ten days ahead of schedule and $2.23 million under budget, without injury. Continued;
