DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivering goods via a heavy truck, sometimes over intensity routes and spanning several states.

Load and offload cargo.

Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.

Take orders for new deliveries

Fueling and cleaning of trucks.

Report to dispatch department any incidents encountered on the road.

Monitor road safety and traffic congestion.

Inspect trailer before and after every trip, record and report any defect observed.

Follow accident procedures in case of an accident.

Keep a log of all the activities taken.
