I also worked with middle school children between the ages of 13 to 15 years old. I would also assist a P.E. Coach with the children during recess and P.E. and at the cafeteria, redirecting the children and making sure they were in their best behavior and following directions. There was a time when there was no counselors one day and I served as a counselor or someone to have a talk with on a particular student that was not listening to the teacher and was disrupting her class. Some of my consumers had autism and one of them was suicidal. Also, I would take the consumers to special outings with their allowance money given to them by their own personal social worker and documented notes in a computer.
