Performs the day-to-day accounting and compliance activities associated with the Juvenile Justice Grants & Highway Safety grants. Receive approvals for all sub grantee Requests for Payment documents. Prepares documentation and notifies sub grantees for resolution of problems discovered during the review of documentation submitted with the requests. Approves financial calculations and compiles final reports for posting transactions into SCEIS.

Provides direction to the Fiscal Analyst I staff person. Verifies equipment purchases and reviews internal financial records maintained by sub grantees.

Provides technical assistance to program staff, financial staff and sub grantees on grant fiscal issues associated with Grants. Applies accounting principles to develop and maintain financial reports to ensure all grant-related transactions are recorded properly. Prepares special reports for distribution to programmatic staff as needed.

Creates financial transactions into the accounting system essential to posting disbursements. Scans documents, verifies funding is appropriate, and enters information into SCEIS using appropriate transaction. Investigates errors and makes corrections as needed.

Monitors/reviews sub grantee award balances to maintain a report of grant budgets.

Perform financial monitoring on-site and virtually as necessary. Assist with the setup and Deobligation of grants. Prepare correspondence to sub-grantees, assimilate information from sub-grantees, and provide reports to the management responsible for the program as requested.
