Summary:
I graduated from faculty of medicine, Teshreen University, Syria, in 2003, then I worked in department of medicine at Al-Jumhori hospital, AlMahwit 2003 -2007. I completed Arab board training of internal medicine in 2012. Thereafter I worked in cardiac unit at Al-Jumhori hospital, AlMahwit, till I moved to Saudi Arabia. I also completed Yemeni board training of internal medicine in 2012. I joined King Abdul-Aziz Cardiac Center at King Abdul-Aziz Medical City (KAMC), Riyadh in August 2014 as Assistant Consultant.
During my work at KAMC, after three years of structured training, I have obtained Saudi Board of Adult Cardiology in March 2021.
Since then, I cover inpatient services including: medical cardiac intensive care unit, coronary care unit, cardiac wards and consultation services. I do daily round with consultants and supervised the staff, residents and intern colleague in the units. I cover second on call duties. During the on-call hours, I share with my colleagues the assessment and management of patients in the emergency department, cardiac ICU, CCU and cardiac and non-cardiac wards. We also have a teaching activity during the rounds. I have finished the Examination of Special Competence in Adult Echocardiograph (by National American board of Echocardiography, NBE).

Currently, I am working at Al-Salam Health medical hospital in Riyadh as a Cardiology Consultant, (started 1st of August 2024) covering the OPD, In-patient, Echo lab, stress lab, CCU, and Cath lab and offering cardiology consultation for non-cardiac patient with other specialties. (From August 2014 till Current): King Abdul-Aziz Medical City is one of the largest University Teaching Hospital in the Kingdom and central tertiary Centre for all National Guard Hospitals in the Kingdom. It is a 1500 beds Facility, covering all major disciplines including heart, liver, kidney and bone marrow transplant services.
King Abdul Aziz Cardiac Centre has 100 inpatient cardiology beds. In total there are 26 cardiologists and three cardiac surgeons. The center is internationally known for its state- of-the-art cardiac imaging department. It is also a center for heart transplantation. The center is equipped with five cardiac cath labs: three for coronary work, one EP and the other for congenital intervention. At the Cardiac Center, there are a Coronary care unit, four HDU for inpatient, all have monitored beds and two Cardiac Intensive Care units, one medical and the other one is surgical, each one is 9 bed capacity. The medical Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (MCICU) is a closed unit covered by three consultants trained in both cardiology and intensive care one associate trained in cardiology and also qualified in cardiac ICU, 6 juniors, 35 ICU trained staff nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Clinical Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and dieticians. The unit is fully equipped with invasive and non-invasive ventilators, IABPs, Impella, dialysis machines and other equipment.
