SUMMARY
Ever since I was a child I have felt drawn to the ocean and nature. I had so many wonderful opportunities that allowed me to travel to the ocean and experience its beauty such as snorkeling or having the resources to go to University in Oregon which has allowed me to spend more time hiking and outdoors. As a previous psychology major, I was able to learn a lot about myself and within that I found a passion for saving our planet and exploring the ocean, which led me to change my major to marine studies. With my major change, I have found an increase in engagement towards community outreach, beach clean ups, and diving deeper into endangered species and changes that need to be made in order to save our planet.
