Honorably Retired Navy Veteran who served 20 years of active service lives in the DFW Metropolitan area. Proven and committed subject matter expert improving organization supply chain. Experience in weight and research inspection, leadership safety compliances, laboratory, and hydrants. Experience in distribution and warehouse operations. Have experience in leading a team to meet and achieving organizational goals. Lead a team of petroleum specialist responsible for laboratory and hydrant facilities in support of Navy Sea Operations and Naval Air Station facilities. Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Department of Transportation (DOT) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) policies. Work with diverse large team and able to work independently on projects. Current passport expires 2027 held an active classified clearances while serving in the Navy. Plans to enroll in in school to pursue a BAS in Information Technology and Management. Availability negotiable.

Weight and Research Inspector

•Perform inspections in accordance with rules tariff and the provisions of the National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC) against freight, description, and proper weight classes.

•Quickly, correct errors based on physical inspections and measurements during peak freight time into the AS400 system using weights, description, and measurements.

•Perform cross reference with the bill of lading for accuracy against property from the shipper.

•Collaborate with sales team to inform and educate freight description, freight description and packaging requirements in agreement with the NMFC rules.

•Work with management on projects perform special research analysis to support pricing and costing decisions.

Leadership and Safety

•Instructor at the school of Aviation Boatswain Mate (Fuels) trained 90 students a year to support Navy Operations.

•Deployed on several military campaigns to include operation Desert Storm Desert Shield, and Operation Iraq Freedom. Exercised receptions plan to receive and refuel Air Force One while at Carswell Naval Air Station (NAS).

•Provides leadership for over 115 subordinates in safety programs and initiatives and in following policies and procedures. Efforts lead team in 0 major mishaps during yearly campaign.

•Gives technical assistance to personnel in assigned organization to improve quality and enhance safety of equipment and workers using products.

•Revised new safety program against new regulatory requirements of OSHA, DOT and EPA. Completed documentation on safety programs to include personal protective equipment (PPE), hazardous communication, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Lockout/Tagout programs. Coordinates disposal of hazardous waste with Base Environmental Manger ensuring proper disposal was complied with.

•Inspected the wearing of (PPE) in accordance with safety policies during daily spot checks.

•Experience leading a team of engineers through a test cycle from build-up through test shut down. Created a dedicated team, strong relationships - wrote and reviewed work assignments that need to be performed by subordinates.

Compliance

•Lead the inspection and operation of the fuels lab facilities to include the pipelines, valves, filters, pumps, gas compressors, storage tanks, and pump stations. Verifies quality through the application of audit and investigative methods to ensure compliance with established guidelines.

•Oversaw the inspections of all petroleum activities to include drawing of fuel samples for testing following procedures listed in appropriate technical orders.

•Conducted surveillance inspections during operations of components in pump house and tank farms during receipt, transfer, sampling, and issue of petroleum products. Approved local operating procedures based on supplements, regulations, and manuals.

•Inspected, and maintained a complete fuels distribution system to receive, store, transfer, and issue both aviation and ground fuels.

Laboratory and Hydrants

•Provide routine briefings to Senior Engineer, Site Scheduler, Customers and Program Management of all assigned tasks related to Test Facility concerns or issues.

•Operates precision measuring instruments and analytical equipment designed to measure the effectiveness of mechanical systems and petroleum handling hardware. Assists in managing fiscal resources for support of the quality assurance program.

•Analyzes defect data, isolates trends and recommends corrective action. Investigates problem areas, identifies causes, recommends, and takes corrective follow-up action.

•Operates petroleum products distribution equipment by initiating and controlling the movement and storage of supplies throughout complete pipeline or tank farm systems.

•Inspects systems for leakage, corrosion, faulty fittings, and inoperative components such as distribution lines, storage tanks, hydrant pits and outlets, water and oil separator. Perform comprehensive checks on bladder cells and external and fuel tanks.
