In January 2017, aŌer only a few months as a Sewing Machine Operator, I was given the opportunity to become a Team Leader for Arkansas Industries for the Blind. I my team consisted of 25 persons, most of them blind and all of them naƟve English speakers only one bilingual blind coworker. I had two major hurdles to overcome: I needed to improve producƟvity and I needed to communicate with blind people in a language I didn’t understand. I also found a way to create an excel spreadsheet that will create daily, weekly and monthly producƟon reports that track individual producƟvity. In a short period of Ɵme, I was able to exceed our producƟon goals. Geodis
Working for Geodis I have demonstrated my commitment to the Company in all posiƟons I have served. As a Material Handler I always completed order processing in accurately and Ɵmely manner. As Quality Control I have disƟnguished myself as my supervisor’s right hand, making sure that the orders are filled free of errors. I always look for ways to help material handlers by answering any quesƟons they might have. I give them advise on how to process orders more efficiently. If I noƟce a task is at risk of being overlooked, I make sure It is done. I developed an efficient way to consolidate orders that has become the standard.
