I have been Lead Investigator in numerous criminal investigations ranging from Grand Larcenies to Homicides.

Have viewed thousands of hours of surveillance videos from numerous systems throughout Sullivan County Government and public systems while conducting my investigations.

Analyzed, designed, and developed top level security solution (Perimeter Solutions, Access Control and Video Surveillance) for the new facility built for the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office.

Trained and certified for the care and custody of evidence & property. Properties to include firearms and drugs for Safe Keeping, Seizure or Surrender. Managed the documentation for custody and transfer of evidence and property.

Also conducted audits of records and physical property in evidence room.

Implemented system to electronically track property and account for evidence submitted in the Evidence Room.

EXPERIENCE

Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, 58 Old Route 17, Monticello, New York 12701 February 10, 1997 to June 30th 2022

In February of 1997 I started as a Correction Officer in the Sullivan County Jail. My job was the Care and Custody of inmates in the Sullivan County Jail.

March of 2001, I was promoted to the Road Patrol after passing the Civil Service Examination for Police Officer. I completed the six-month Police Academy at the Rockland County Police Training Center in Pomona, NY.

As a Deputy Sheriff my duties were to answer calls for service, vehicle and traffic enforcement. I have investigated crimes ranging from misdemeanors to felonies. I have also been involved in investigations involving Drugs, missing, and wanted persons. Duties also include the protection of property and citizens.

October of 2006 Received Law Enforcement Recognition Award for 2005-2006 I was honored by the Elks Lodge# 1544 in Monticello, New York.

November 2008 I was promoted to the rank of Detective. My duties elevated to investigation of felonies (Drugs, Burglaries, Grand Larcenies, Fraud, Robberies, serious assaults, and homicides). I have made numerous testimonies in Sullivan County Supreme Court and local courts in the County for cases involving serious crimes.

May 2015, I was promoted to the rank of Detective/Corporal which is a supervisor position. I continued my duties as a Detective and taking cases.

Between May 2016 and September of 2016, I was lead investigator for two homicides in Sullivan County. Both homicides were solved, all involved were arrested and convicted of their crimes.

October 2016 Received Law Enforcement Recognition Award 2015-2016 and honored at the Elks Lodge #1544 in Monticello, New York.

2016 assigned Evidence Coordinator for the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office. Coordinated the design for the new Evidence Room with two vaults, two separate processing areas and surveillance camera placement.

2017 I received recognition from the U.S. Department of Justice for being the Lead Investigator in a home-invasion robbery and homicide committed by members of the Askari Gang. The investigation lead to the arrest and conviction of seven perpetrators.

2018 Coordinated the audit and transferred hundreds of pieces of evidence to the new facility built for the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office.
