Provides annual and ad hoc reports to stakeholders, such as data and information for inspection/investigation (i.e., CARF, CARDS, CAP, EEO, etc.), staffing effectiveness and turnover, recruitment/retention; workforce succession planning; budget hearing materials, etc. Conducts evaluations and recommends improvements to determine the adequacy of the human resources data system to meet the needs of the agency. Plans, conducts, and evaluates training of HR personnel to include training related to HR information system routines, modifications, procedures and complex queries. Provides complex advisory services essential to enable managers and supervisors to properly plan, develop, organize, manage, and evaluate the HR information technology program. Interprets HR information system requirements and changes as they impact HR policies and procedures and recommends appropriate actions required to meet those changes. Provides administrative support for required HR reports, budget, suspense reports and overall VISN facilities personnel strength as well as functional databases utilized by the VISN facilities as needed.

I am the database administrator for this workgroup. I use SSIS to maintain more than 70 ETLs in this one database. Created and manage the “D02_VISN8s675” Power BI Premium site for reports and dashboards for Orlando that currently has more than 20 reports or links and multiple more in testing including Telehealth. I manage a Power BI Premium site for reports and dashboards for VISN 8 that currently has 2 reports used at multiple sites by the VISN 8 Clinical Informatics Departments.
Create and implements change control procedures and establish policies for effective management of system modifications and changes, including patches, updates, upgrades, and optimizations. Lead efforts to migrate efficiently and optimally complex clinical and healthcare organizational workflows into electronic health information systems. Take ownership of information systems project charters/plans, serving as the key informatics leader for project stakeholders, requirements, budget, resources, deliverables, timeframe, and scope. Lead meaningful and coordinated use of subject matter experts to support decision-making among informatics functions to optimize the healthcare system and the tools that support the business. As a PACT RN, I worked with two different doctors in the Villages OPC. My assignments were to work in the Cardiology clinic with the Cardiologist and I work with a new PACT team as the RN coordinator.
As a Clinical Access Coordinator (CAC) I have worked a many local, reginal, VISN and National projects. I assist in the software development within Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) for Text Integrated Utilities (TIU), Reminder Dialogs, Reminder Reports, VistA reports, Fileman Reports, Consult Management, and Interfacility Consult Management (IFC), Menu development, and Order development. I have lead groups in redesigning the Sleep Study program for all consult and telehealth programs. In addition, I have partnered with and Interventional Radiology department to develop a consult services process within North Florida and South Georgia (NF/SG). A member of the VISN 8 Health Informatics (HI) committee, the VISN 8 telehealth work group, and Point of Contact for the NF/SG Business Information Services Library (BISL) team. I have served on the COVID Vaccine Local Taskforce and have developed bast practice for the follow-up of partial vaccinated veterans. I have developed SQL reports off the Extract/Transform/Load (ETLs) programs, I have created SQLs to assist with the required VISN and National guidance for the COVID Vaccination Process. I manage the ETL’s for Clinical Informatics in North Florida South Georgia. I also served on the VISN 8 Virtual Health subcommittee for several years and was the local resource for the department.
I designed and presented multiple trainings for local, VISN and National attendees.
