Over the past 12 years I have obtained extensive experience in the areas of care-giving, customer service, retail markets, teaching, and office management. Professional experience:
Caregiver
In this role I served as a daily caregiver for an elderly couple living at home. I prepared three meals daily, closely monitored the taking of medicines. I also monitored blood sugar levels and administered the appropriate doses of Insulin as needed. I assisted with basic hygiene as well as cleaned house daily. I also served as a liaison between the home health nurse attending this couple and the children of the older couple.
Med Tech / Caregiver
Employed originally as a caregiver then transitioned into a Med Tech at Three Forks Assisted Living and Memory Care Facility. As a caregiver on the memory care floor assisted with daily living needs of the residents. As a Med Tech, I was responsible for the timely distribution of required medications to the residents as well as assuring there were medications on hand based on each resident’s needs/requirements.
Substitute teacher
In this position I was responsible for classroom management as well as daily instruction of students in my care for the Forney, Terrell, Crandall, and Wills Point school districts. I also served as a long-term substitute for an elementary art class.
