Gained a lot of experience working with people with learning disabilities and who also had challenging behaviours and as a patient person with compassion it taught me to be more patient, tolerant and empathetic

Gained experience to care for service users with challenging behaviours who could do self-injury or harm to themselves like head-banging, scratching, pulling, eye poking, grinding teeth and who had eating disorders and eating of non-foodstuffs

Gained also experience to handle service users with aggressive behaviours rowards others like biting, hitting, pinching, grabbing, hair pulling, throwing objects, verbal abuse, screaming and spitting.

I did also gain experience working with service users who have stereotyped behaviour like repetitive movements, rocking, repetitive speech and repetitive manipulation of objects

I learnt how to nanamge service users who have non-person directed behaviours like damage to property, inapproppriate sexualised behaviour, destruction of clothing, incontinence, temper tantrums and lack of awareness of danger
