Environmental Protection Agency Region 1 Boston, MA July 2023-present

Conduct EPA grant baseline reviews, “cost” and “no cost amendments, as well as pre-award and post award.

Use EPA’s Grants Reporting and Tracking System (GRTS) to track all grants and make the baselines are up to date.

Maintain and update Excel spreadsheet for closeouts, noting when all grants were closed

Assist in processing various required reports as they are submitted to the Grants Management Office, e.g. transmitting Final Federal Financial Reports (FFRs) to EPA’s RTP Finance Center.

Run financial reports from the Compass Data Warehouse; make sure a zero balance is shown and grant is financially closed.

Ensure that the EPA Project Officer close out certifications are received and accepted within 120 days after grant closes. If Project Officer certification not received, follow up with email or phone call.

Ensure that Assistance Agreements are awarded within 45 working days from receipt of complete fundable funding package: includes approved application, funding recommendation without errors, commitment notice.

Prepare completed close out file folders based on fiscal year approach provided by EPA Headquarters. Maintain record sheet to correspond with Next Generation Grant System/Grant Resilience and Innovative Partnerships (NGGS/GRIP) output.

Assist in achieving national metric of 90% close out rate.

Trained in Next Generation Grants System modules in Funding Recommendations.
