Oracle June 2022 – Present
Software Engineer II – Cloud Database Services
• Designed, developed, and deployed cloud-based RESTful services for Oracle Exadata Cloud at Customer (ExaCC), a platform serving enterprise customers like Deutsche Bank, AT&T, and Walmart
• Led a cross-functional team to coordinate the automation of quarterly hardware maintenance runs, which reduced manual overhead and scheduling interventions, while expediting maintenance agility and execution of quarterly maintenance tasks
• Coordinated with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Database Quality Assurance
(DBQA) teams to gather requirements, align on standardized development practices, and ensure seamless integration into existing systems
• Led a critical initiative to improve the unit test coverage on all infrastructure patching-related files, which resulted in improved code quality, identified existing gaps, and increasing coverage to > 90%
• Implemented API spec changes to accommodate new data objects parameters to internal endpoints and CLI commands to support fine-tuned manipulation of both internal and external workflow customizability
