STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS
As a trainer and technical assistance provider in the industry since 2006, I have contributed to strategic, operational, and financial management planning efforts for multiple water and wastewater utilities. Areas of expertise include asset management planning, proposals and RFPs, effective utility management (EUM), budgets and rates, learning and development, and employee culture and retention efforts. In addition, I possess technical and operational expertise in water and wastewater and an understanding of compliance goals from experience as a certified operator and prior utility manager. As an MBA I have a good understanding of strategic management, total quality management, financial analysis, and data-based decision making principles. My career as taken me from the west coast to the east coast working with water professionals in all sectors including operators, service providers, managers and regulators, and as a result I feel I have a good grasp of the water and wastewater field, along with the associated long term goals and challenges.

EXPERIENCE
CENTER OF TECHNOLOGY AND TRAINING (CTT) MICHIGAN
TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY (2020 to present) Houghton Michigan. In my current role I design, develop, and deliver training classes for water and wastewater systems that are presented nationwide, provide technical assistance to small utilities throughout the 6-state Great Lakes Region, EPA region 5, and conduct reporting and track deliverables under USEPA grant projects. Typical class subjects include technical, managerial, and financial water and wastewater topics. Contribute to development of grant proposals in response to RFPs. Work with primacy agency representative in multiple states and regional EPA to develop technical assistance action plans for utilities and deliver training that meets the needs of utility operators. GREAT LAKES RCAP ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAM: 2018 – 2020 Provided training and technical assistance to water and wastewater systems in the Great Lakes Region. Worked independently from a home office in Houghton Michigan to meet grant deliverables. CA-NV AWWA, 2016–2018 – Education Manager Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Managed the education program of the CA-NV AWWA Water College. Conducted needs analysis, developed custom classes, hired and trained instructors and worked with subject matter experts. Involved with planning, organizing, and implementing large regional conferences, and maintained compliance with IACET accreditation standards. Also worked with water and wastewater stakeholders, utility managers, and regulators to ensure training topics were meeting the needs of the water and wastewater sector. Developed new business offerings including REHS classes and online training offerings and contributed to senior staff meetings to assist with long term strategic planning. INTER TRIBAL COUNCIL OF ARIZONA (Phoenix AZ) 2012-2016 Provided technical assistance to tribal water and wastewater utilities throughout Arizona, New Mexico, California, and Nevada. Developed and taught classes for the national Tribal Water Systems Operator Certification program. Participates as an SME in developing a national ABC certification for tribal utility managers. Contributed to developing technical assistance and training grant proposals in response to RFPs. LICENSES
