Project Description:
This project is about stratifying pregnant members into healthy and high risk and re-stratify members who might jump to higher care levels using various predictive measures made by the predictive model generated using Talend and various findings found using reports generated using SAP Crystal Reports.
After passing through many steps pregnant members are identified using Claims data from CSP and analyze membership and their clinical activities from Clinical models, Finally Talend is used to create a predictive model using clinical activities that will flag High Risk Members.
The goal of this project is to make sure high-risk pregnant members are well maintained by enrolling them in special wellness programs that are provided for free of cost by UHG in partnership with state health departments. This project helps UHG save huge dollar amounts since we can give special attention to high-risk pregnancy members' by making sure their newborn baby is not admitted/transferred to NICU (Newborn Intensive care unit) after birth. On an average, UHG incurs a cost of more than 3500$ per day for NICU admits
Roles and Responsibilities:
Has been part of the project ever since its initiation and performed development for states namely – North Carolina (NC), Maryland (MD), Nebraska (NE), Washington (WA), Wisconsin (WI) and Mississippi (MS).
As part of C&S Utilization management project, I will flag potential high-Risk pregnant members by firstly identifying pregnant women by investigating health care utilization from CSP & Clinical applications and designing a predictive model to stratify a pregnant woman into healthy or high risk by accessing clinical data from the UHG proprietary applications
Participating in requirements review and clarifications meetings with Onshore Analysts and clarifying the requirements gaps (if any) during U.S. business hours.
Integration of data from CSP & clinical applications and build a prediction model using Talend and SAP Crystal reports based on past healthcare utilization and clinical assessment responses that include member's financial status, lifestyle and periodic health status that helped to flag high risk patient.
Scheduling the developed reports in production server using CMC reporting portal.
