My job is very rewarding I make my own schedule and have time to spend with my patients getting to know how they are doing. I make sure that all our patients that have Medicare have their annual medical preventive measures exam. I go over all their medications and make sure they have all their vaccines up to date. I gather all their preventative measures exams and make sure that they attend to them if they have not, I try and convince them to have these exams done which are very important. Like a mammogram, bone density for the women as well as for men their prostate ck and colonoscopy. Make sure they get their glaucoma checkup every year. All these very important exams that can help us, help them give them the best medical care possible. When they leave my office, they have all the referrals needed to keep them up to date with their medical care. GRIFOLS Plasma

Del Rio, TX 78840
Supervisor: Hervey Martinez
My job description consists of phlebotomy, all day. I hooked up the donors to a Plasma Collection System where the plasmapheresis process takes place. The donations need to be monitored thru out the entire process which normally takes between 30 min to 2hrs. I also draw out blood samples when needed. I am cross trained to the Lab and have the Lab Processor title as well. I enjoy my job very much, to me its much more than just a phlebotomy position. It is way more than just the process of the donation that takes place while the donors are under my care. The Plasma Donations are worth so much more than money they are the beginning of something extraordinary that I feel proud to be a part of. 3

This was my very first job as a CNA. I worked with several elderly patients and my duties consisted of bathing, feeding and cleaning up after these elderly patients. It was a good first experience although it was very easy to get attached to some of the older folks. It gave me a sense of satisfaction and I quickly learned that this is the type of career that I would follow. References
