Area Manager (Masvingo)
In charge of the ZTA branch office and reporting to Senior Manager Operations at Head Office
Responsible for coordinating and organizing tourism programs in the respective tourism region
Develop and implement vibrant tourism strategy relevant to the area.
Formulate and implement regional specific work plans and budgets
Promote awareness of tourism and local tourism packages.
Liaison with tourism sector and government institutions for the purposes of promoting tourism in the area,
Attend meetings and events on behalf of ZTA
Promote destination at local exhibitions.
Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
Product development in the area in consultation with stakeholders and Research Department at Head Office.
Attend to any other business as assigned by Head Office.
Budget control at Regional Office.
Regional Office staff supervision
Crafting of itineraries for tours in the Region.
Ensure Hotel/Lodge Occupancy data is gathered
Prepare and deliver presentations on the tourism product in the region.
Work with Provincial Development Committee.
Liaise and build close relationships with the media to promote tourism issues.
Training of Community Based Tourism Enterprises in Customer Care, Itinerary Preparation, Marketing and Tour Guiding.
