Responsible for teaching and supervising clinical and diagnostic screening procedures including venipuncture, EKG, vital signs, finger sticks, pregnancy tests, urine analysis, blood sugars, and injections.
Guided and mentored fifteen marginalized high school students to fully develop the technical and interpersonal skills necessary for a successful medical assistant internship.
Served as the first point of contact for patients, managing more than twenty-five patient interactions Triaged more than 20 patients daily by measuring vital signs while obtaining medical history and other health-related information Assisted the OB/GYN physicians in conducting in-house procedures like ultrasounds, vulva biopsies, IUD insertion and removal, endometrial biopsies, pap smear tests and colposcopies.
