Skills
General duties of concrete construction that were part of my daily routine include:
Perform all aspects of concrete construction
Use skid steer/ skip load to clear + sub grade job site
Lay out and hammer “line stakes”, hang string
Square out lay out
Shoot & set /mark elevation onto line stakes using laser
Set string line
Recheck square and elevations
Trench footings and clean footing out
Lay out materials: stakes 7 lumber (2x4, 2x6 etc)
Hammer vertical stakes into ground
Nail & hammer forms to place, set to mark
Hammer “kicker stakes” to form, set to marks(string)
Clear/clean footings
Lay out plastic (cut to size/razor)
Bring in and lay sand using skid steer/ wheel barrow
Set string line, fine grade to desired grade depth
Clear/ clean footings
Rebar lay out: pick up, walk in, lay out &set to marks, then tie, set doobies under rebar
Cutting rebar strategically & as needed using demo saw
Bending rebar strategically as needed using binder or hickey bar
Set string lines for high screeds
Hammer stakes as need
Set screed clips
Pour, place, and finish concrete (sliders & hand trowel finish, power trowel finish. Ride on finishing machine

Wash and clean up all concrete tools, shovels, screed pins, rod boards
Put all concrete tools away, as well as any other tools no longer needed
Using hammer or screw gun remove all the nails &screws from stakes
Hammer-knock loose and remove stakes, wash and put away stakes
Scrap and clean up all forms, put away in a neatly stacked pile
Clean up job site
