SPRINT, Denver CO January 2009 – January 2016

Project Manager III – 800 MHz Re-banding

Researched and planned the conversion from Clearwire to Sprint LTE devices for leases held on the 2.5 GHz spectrum for Educational Broadband Services (EBS) licensees. Led and managed the transition of 40% of the 1,407 EBS licensees.

• Managed and completed significant portions of the FCC-mandatory 800 MHz Re-banding project - a unique, never before attempted project implemented by Nextel / Sprint with a total budget of over $3 billion.

• Partnered with support teams and developed training and team-building strategies and materials, ensuring the project’s success within pre-established timeframes.

• Drove operational phases of projects varying in size, scope, and complexity, concurrently from contract signing through project completion.

• Managed communications with stakeholders through reports, meetings, and presentations regarding project elements such as budgets, resource allocation, operational plans, risk mitigation, time / progression, and training.

• Coordinated activities between internal groups including RF Engineering, Finance, Government Affairs, Legal, and Upper Management, as well as external groups such as License-holders, attorneys, Transition Administrators

(FCC), and various Telecom vendors.
