Performing vital pre-fire checklists which includes: cannon conditions, oil levels, battery conditions, program radio and cannon communications.

Inspections of multiple types of live-fire munitions for artillery including M77 Howitzers and the M109 Paladin tank.

NEW YORK NATIONAL GUARD- JOINT TASK FORCE ASYLUM SEEKER — 2023— 2024

Private First Class Marroquin was a core, bilingual member of the joint task force established in New York, to administrate and manage asylum seeker and migrant shelters in the state. The mission statement is to mitigate human suffering for foreign nationals seeking asylum in the United States. His tasks included monitoring the safety of minors, disabled individuals, elders and families. As a PFC assigned to shelters considered military posts, Marroquin was accountable for access control, food distribution and de-escalation of high stakes situations. Across more than 4 statewide sites, Marroquin responded to multiple documented medical emergencies, fire safety, domestic violence and child welfare situations. This involved coordinating and collaborating with NYPD, FDNY, private security and civilian shelter staff on a daily basis. PFC Marroquin was given the opportunity to work for the Department of Social Services in New York City, helping to validate and administrate asylum claims, temporary protective status applications and work authorization applications as a navigator facilitator on the joint task force.
