Export

ITAR

Responsible for the implementation and management of all import, export and ITAR compliance programs at Cessna Aircraft Company. Directly responsible for creating, implementing, and directing these programs. Duties included, but were not limited to the following:

Import

HTS classification, valuation determination and policy, resolution of Country of Origin issues, administration and implementation of Special Trade Programs (AGR, NAFTA, CAFTA), administration and management of all assist issues, and all related training for Customs issues. Worked with multi-discipline groups, assisted in the development and creation of a tool to classify parts under the HTS.

Export

Government Contracts

Responsible for drafting, negotiating and administering a variety of Government contracts to include FFP, CPFF, CPIF, T&M and BOA . Contract Management included work on the B1 Bomber, various contracts at Magnavox and Ford Aerospace. As an attorney, I drafted, reviewed, managed and negotiated teaming agreements, NDAs, proposals, purchase orders, contracts and subcontracts. As a consequence of my legal education, and my experience I have extensive experience in communicating effectively with all disciplines involved in the contract process and in communicating effectively with management.
