Dear Hiring Manager,

It is with great enthusiasm that I submit my resume for the PMHNP position. My 1 year clinical work experience aligns well with your requirements and expectations. Specifically, given my tenure as a charge nurse and commitment to achieving goals and targets at both individual and team levels, I would be an asset to your organization from the beginning.

Beyond this, my communication, teamwork and problem-solving proficiencies ensure that I will always deliver the pinnacle of customer service while maintaining professional and effective customer communication.

This opportunity most certainly piques my interest and excitement, as my skills and experience set me up for success as a PMHNP. I look forward to setting up some time to discuss how I can immediately contribute to the growth of your team and provide additional insight into my qualifications and experience.

Personal Philosophy

I strongly believe that hard work pays off and education is the easiest way to reach one’s goal in life. I started in this country as a cable technician, went to LPN school, and RN school, and now Masters’s degree in nursing. I give God all the glory because he has been on my side. Now that I am about to face another chapter in my life which is practicing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I will put the same level of energy and commitment to make sure that I excel in this field. I have a multitude of knowledge and am familiar with scientific evidence management, evaluation and review, product testing, health insurance programs, safety practices, and quality of care requirements in an advanced care environment. I am confident that as a future specialist nurse (PMHNP), I will consistently serve all patient demographics. My pursuit of advanced education prepared me for this period. I commit to treating all patients equally, irrespective of age, ethnicity, or religion.

GOALS

SHORT TERM GOALS

With a Master of Science in Nursing, I am seeking a full-time position in an active facility where customers and communities are treated with fairness and excellence.

Promote cultural diversity in management, performance, research, and society.

LONG TERM GOALS

Enroll in the Doctor of Nursing (DNS) program after completing the MSN program in order to implement an effective evidence-based approach to daily patient outcomes.

Applying Nursing Theory to the Treatment of Chronic Diseases and the Transformation of the Health System by means of transformational research centered on ailing individuals.

Opening a private practice to help people with addiction

Lecture to assist new nurses in becoming the best in their fields of choice.

SELF ASSESSMENT:

A single definition of nursing is not possible because it is an artistic phrase. I have experience working in nursing homes and sub-acute facilities in addition to my current position as a charge nurse in the prison sector. I became aware that healthcare is not the same everywhere after treating individuals with various illnesses at various stages. Although all of these fields were fascinating, I preferred working in corrections.

This MSN program has given me an opportunity to work up close with people with different psychiatric illnesses. Mental health is real and this has prepared me for the greater task ahead. The clinical experience has helped me to better grasp what is required to care for not only my patients but also my loved ones and myself mentally. It enables me to be a successful family caregiver and helps me grasp the skills necessary for clinical projects in complex care scenarios. In order to improve the care, we give to our patients, the background of our research is crucial since as nurses, we work with a wide spectrum of patients in a variety of settings, from hospitals to home care. In essence, EBP results from nursing research. It embodies ideal methods for performing initial psychiatric evaluations and follow-ups. In my master's program, I have participated in discussions, and assignments that center on complex case scenarios and how patients are treated and improvement is seen within the next clinical encounters. Working with a preceptor has given me access to a range of acute and chronic illnesses affecting the American populace as a whole. To enhance the standard of care, you also studied how to obtain a medical history, conduct a physical exam, make a clinical diagnosis, write a prescription, and create a medical record (Gibson, n.d.).
