Aug’14 – Present Maintenance/Projects Manager Republic Tube Houston, TX. Responsibilities: Overseeing facility and machinery maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing all production machines, air compressors, a/c units, company vehicles and forklifts. Responsible for all fabrication projects, the JHA/JSA training of the maintenance personnel, as well as the SWP3, in charge of the monthly site inspections and rain log. Production machines consist of Mori Seki CNC SL603, Bucking units, PIW 10,000 lbs Hydro tester, EMI inspection system, Induction coils, gas furnaces Austenitizing and Temper, Quench tunnel, cooling tower, Gag straightener, water pumps at retention pond and Saw building. I hire/discipline/coach and fire the maintenance personnel, we have a total of 27 employees, from Technician, welders, helper and janitorial/landscaping.
July’12 – Aug’14 Maintenance/Projects Supervisor MAASS Flange Houston, TX. Responsibilities: Overseeing a 20 million dollar project, interviewing, hiring & firing of personnel, directly supervise 26 employees Electricians, Welders, Technicians & helpers. Fabrication and installation of (2)10 million btu furnaces, installation of a 5k ton hydraulic press Installation of a Wagner rolling mill. Dealing with vendors, ordering parts and materials for different projects, also dealing with contractors to have them perform specific tasks. Holding weekly safety meetings with personnel. I also operate the 45 ton cherry picker and the 50 ton forklift that the company owns.
May’09 – July’12 Electrical Maintenance / Tejas (Casing Plant), Channelview, TX. Responsibilities: Trouble shoot and repair all electrical components, machinery, main service panels. Work on 1000 & 2000 kw induction coils, as well as gas furnaces
Mori Seki CNC threading machines, DC drives on Straighteners, Hot Sizers,
Hydro Testers, & EMI inspection system and booths. As well as new electrical installations upgrades, or modifications.
Sept ’07 – Oct’09 Maintenance “A” Technician / Turbofab, Channelview TX. Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and repair all production machinery, forklifts, and company vehicles, following the company’s preventive maintenance guidelines. Troubleshoot and minor repairs to welding machines,
Overhead cranes (5 to 100 ton) air compressors and a/c units. Work on all facility Electrical projects, from 12vdc – 480vac; exterior lighting, power distribution centers, disconnects, and proper grounding techniques, as well as working on the CNC Mill Shop and the Paint & Blast area; (augers, exhausts, and dust collectors). Train lower grade technicians to trouble shoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical issues.
