Working as part of the medical staff in a detox facility responsible for up to 35 client capacity bed home. I was responsible to pass medication throughout my shift from suboxone to regular Tylenol. I was also responsible to for any other medical needs that arose like cuts, swollen body parts as well as irregular heart beat or seizures and to facilitate in calling the emergency services such as Alpha One. In addition; entering their medications into their chart and accurately keeping count of each client medication providing a list of medications to be refilled to Detox Nurse.

Covid Tester
Working as a covid tester in screening employees and patients through nursing home care centers in different facilities in Sacramento area (Riverpointe Care Center, McKinley Park Care Center, and Midtown Oaks Care Center). I worked with another covid tester and we tested over 120 employees and patients daily. Each facility is tested twice a week; Riverpoint Monday’s and Thursday’s while McKinley Park on Tuesday’s and Friday’s and Midtown Oaks on Wednesday’s. Patients that do contract the Covid Virus are isolated in different areas of the facility to recover and not tested for 90 days.

Working as a health screener in screening employees both Volt temps and Apple employees in Apple facility. As employees enter facility, they are asked a set of questions prior to entering at the podium. They must answer accordingly to the Covid screening questions before proceeding to the next level which is to scan their badge. If they answer in “No” to any portions of the questions; they are then given a box and proceed to do self-testing in designated testing areas. Once they can confirm that they are negative form the self-test; they are allowed to proceed and keep the extra test in the box to take home. If they answer the questions without a “No” they can proceed to scan their badge and continue to the building. If any employee forgets to scan their badge, then they are directed by other security guards to return to the podium and asked to confirm the questions once again prior to scanning.

I was first assigned to assist a program called Sure Program for the first 3 weeks; which took in patients that are intoxicated (using sobriety breath analyzer) so they sober up and be placed in treatment programs if the patients are willing and ready. In addition; monitoring their well-being (taking vitals, providing food/water bed, blankets, pillows, etc. The latter part of assignment was working in Specialty clinic (Endocrinology); assisting patients with diabetes and/or thyroid issues. Checking in/out patients using NextGen medical software; by calling patients for telephone visit and/or in person visit (taking vitals, verifying pharmacy and asking questions regarding tobacco, alcohol, drug abuse and caffeine use). Also scanned in sign lab orders and any other documents that are essential for their medical treatment as well as running eligibility, confirming that labs are done prior to their appointment and confirming appointment.
