Perform intravenous line insertion and medication administration while delivering acute and critical care nursing as per proper medical protocols.
Train and mentor 10 LPN's 5 Staff Nurses and 3 CNA's according to nursing standard of care.
Monitor EKG, EMG and BP readings for up to 10 patients at a time Communicate regularly with patients and their family members by explaining test results and procedures; provide excellent bed-side- manner and answer any questions in a professional and empathetic manner.
CARDIAC NURSE
Serve as a member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, taking care of patients on the cardiac floor post bypass, cardiac catheterization MI, and other co-occurring conditions.
Provide care to CCU patients in post cardiac interventions; percutaneous Coronary Intervention, Angiogram, Pacemaker implantation, radio frequency ablation, and other cardiac catheterization intervention cases.
Acute care hospital experience; received and admitted cardiology patients such as STEMI/ NSTEMI and Unstable Angina and acute congestive heart failure.
Provide nursing care to patients in post-elective coronary intervention, cardiac interventions such as pulmonary vein isolation, and AF/A. Flutter Ablation, +/- PCI, pacemaker implantation, and congestive heart failure.
