•Moved from simple tape backup to onsite and offsite Backup system that did hourly snapshots of all important servers’ onsite and offsite and then replicated to the remote network backup device and DE duplicated. Did it at 44% off the GIS pricing saving the city $17,000 while making sure even in a huge disaster we would only be down and hour or two before we could mount a backup of failed or lost servers and get the city back to serving its resident’s needs.
