SUMMARY
Information technology and engineering professional with over 30 years of research and development experience, and a nationally recognized expert in magnetohydrodynamics. Came out of retirement when asked by the former president of Dixie State University (Stephen Nadauld) to teach mathematics. That was the start of a second rewarding teaching career. I wrote a math book on test taking skills.

Chief Technology Officer - Reorganized and managed software development, network services and customer support departments. Established quality assurance and product development departments. Redirected company focus into standards-based technology and established membership in national and international standards organizations. Initiated patent application process. Conducted management training seminars. Introduced an employee evaluation procedure.
Program Manager at Decision Consultants, Inc.; 4/99 - 2/00 Program Manager for multi-tiered managed service organization offering complete life cycle service as well as practice specific project support. Responsible for supervising project managers, marketing, cost control, and overseeing support teams for mainframe, client/server, PC based and web-based systems and interfacing considerations. Technological Solutions Inc.; 3/96 – 6/05
President – Worked as a programmer and project manager for numerous business enterprises. Major clients included: 1) Consultant at Zacks Investment Research - debugged and corrected computer programs (revisions were to fix Y2K errors), 2) Team Leader Consultant at Allstate Insurance (investment branch) - responsibilities included providing support for mainframe systems and interfacing with client/server and PC based systems, 3) Team Leader Consultant at Allstate Insurance - team leader for a Y2K compliance project, 4) Senior Programmer Consultant at Information Resources, Inc. - responsible for the development of concurrent mainframe programs to read ORACLE databases, 5) Senior Programmer and Analyst at Allstate Insurance - responsibilities included the maintenance and utility upgrade of PL/1 mainframe systems, and 6) Senior Programmer and Analyst at ABN-AMRO - responsible for the maintenance and utility upgrade of mainframe systems and development of applications for currency exchange. Argonne National Laboratory; 3/72 - 11/95
Managing Mechanical Engineer – Managed a team of software developers (PL/1 and FORTRAN) and engineers and scientists. This group consisted of a maximum of 25 professionals. Program and project management responsibilities included analyzing, planning, designing, developing, testing, evaluating, budgeting, staffing, marketing, mentoring and reporting. As an engineer, I was a nationally acclaimed expert in magnetohydrodynamics. I designed, developed, programmed and tested artificial intelligence software (C++) used for pattern recognition applied to automobile engine misfire detection data. I designed and developed a modularized systems code (PL/1); the code was generic and operated using a specialized simulation language which I also developed. I developed a computer program to analyze the performance of a plasmatron
(device used to disassociate hydrogen sulfur gas using swirling motion and RF waves). Negotiated with Russian research team and numerous business entrepreneurs (UOP) and venture capitalists.
General Electric Co.; 9/69 - 3/72
