Facilitate the general needs of the Maintenance, Production and Warehouse teams. Provide the necessary parts or services required for the continuance of operations for the production team and the production machines. Support the shipping & receiving team with parts & services needed for equipment (forklifts & docks) to remain functional. Operating of forklift to assist or complete scheduled task(s). Certified Forklift Trainer, issuing of forklift license to candidates after completion of training.
Initially hired as a Load Planner which duties included, Opening discussion of the project at hand with the customer point of contact via e-mail & phone. Logistic planning of inbound freight with Drayman/Carrier relevant to the beginning of production. Creating or revising routing spreadsheet consisting of assigned shipments. Collecting & sorting of paperwork (BOLs, Packing Slips, labels, placards) provided by the customer. Planning the outbound shipments of the freight once produced with the customer contact. Coordinating the outbound shipments with the carrier(s) of choice. Providing the customer and all parties involved daily updates of the routing spreadsheet reflecting current information of shipments pending and in transit.
