TeamHealth is one of the nation's largest providers of hospital-based clinical outsourcing in multiple departments Performed various statistical analysis via SQL and Python using invoice and collection data for uninsured and self-pay patients. Incorporated external data from LexisNexis Risk Solutions to identify additional factors that impact lower payments from uninsured patients such as demographics, homelessness, criminal history, prior bankruptcies, prior missed payments and more. Performed requirement gathering, developed Business Design Document, data transformation and exploratory data analysis for predictive modelling projects.

Data analysis: Performed data analysis on claims denials by insurance organizations to understand underlying causes for claim denials. Further, analyzed arbitration cost to assess the gain/ loss to TeamHealth vis-à-vis Insurance organizations.

Predictive Modeling & Dashboard Development: Developed a predictive model to identify TeamHealth’s clients (hospitals) at risk of terminating their contracts using SQL (Snowflake) and Python (Jupyter Notebooks). Designed and implemented three Power BI dashboards tailored to different audiences: a “Loss Probability” visualization for business operators, summary reports for senior leadership, and dashboards analyzing causes and trends associated with client churn.

Model Performance Enhancement: Established a feedback loop with business stakeholders and leadership to continuously evaluate the model performance and incorporate the necessary changes to improve the model reliability.

Predictive Model: Developed Antipsychotic Medication Adherence predictive model to analyze non-adherent Schizophrenia members at risk of Behavior Health crisis. Developed a new Power BI dashboard detailing Key Metrics. o Collaborated with stakeholders to gather requirements and executed the project using the CRISP-DM framework. o Performed Exploratory Data Analysis on member claims data using SQL and SAS EG. Based on this report, analyzed preventive care completion among Cardinal’s Medicaid population. Performed exploratory data analysis and developed a Logistic regression model using Python.

Text Mining: Developed text analytics application for mining Care Coordinator’s progress notes o Employed R in Power BI to run scripts that broke down paragraphs of text data into single sentences for easy access. o Developed Power BI interactive visualization dashboard for searching specific keyword across the text data.

Forecasting: Forecasted membership using basic forecasting techniques in SAS EG, R and Excel.
