Experience

Gafsa phosphate company

internship

During my internship at the Phosphate Company of Gafsa (CPG), I gained hands-on experience in the exploration and extraction of phosphate. I assisted in geological surveys and mapping of phosphate deposits, collecting samples for analysis and evaluating their mineral content. In the laboratory, I conducted tests on rock and soil samples to determine their composition and quality, supporting the company's efforts in resource evaluation. I also used geological software to model and assess phosphate reserves, contributing to resource estimation and planning. Throughout the internship, I observed mining operations and learned about the different stages of phosphate extraction, from exploration to processing. This experience allowed me to apply my academic knowledge in real-world situations and deepened my understanding of the mining industry, particularly in the context of phosphate production and sustainability.
