JOB TITLE: AMMONIA REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN LEVEL 2

REPORTS TO: REFRIGERATION SUPERVISOR / CORPORATE REFRIGERATION PURPOSE:
Operate refrigeration equipment, perform basic electrical troubleshooting, and all level of maintenance repair and service of refrigeration equipment safely and in full compliance with company and legal requirements. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have a minimum of two years of experience in the operation and basic maintenance of industrial refrigeration equipment.
• Understanding of and experience with regulatory requirements for PSM and RMP.
• Knowledge of basic Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook programs.
• Must be able and willing to complete training and maintain requirements for confined space rescue.
• Must be able to read and understand written information in English.
• Remote work not available for this position.
• Travel in the Bakersfield area could be frequent, between 10% - 25% of the time, as needed.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record.
• Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:
Attain and maintain all SOP execution and certifications. Understand and adhere to all regulatory requirements for PSM and RMP. Perform maintenance, repair and operation of industrial refrigeration equipment with little supervision and at a high skill level. Perform basic electrical troubleshooting with supervision. Provide clear professional explanation and coaching while training lower level staff. Oversee work completed by lower level staff, guidance and direction to keep work safe and in compliance to avoid issues from escalating. Successfully complete all required position relevant safety and compliance training. Pass exam for CARO certification from RETA. Meet the requirements of the Grimmway Electrical Qualification Program. Complete the 40 Hour Hazmat Certification Program. Complete and maintain Confined Space Rescue certification. Continual participation in the employer’s CA DMV Pull Notice Program. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to operate a motor vehicle. Ability to operate hand and power tools. Ability to work outdoors. Ability to work on and build equipment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout much of the working day. Ability to move in food processing facilities (sometimes through narrow passages, in wet areas, or on elevated platforms). Ability to continuously work with product and equipment at ground level. Ability to inspect equipment and product. Must be able to work in different temperatures (working temperatures as hot as 100 to 110 F and as cold as -20 F to 32 F). Must be able to work in a high noise area. Must be able to move items weighing up to 75 lbs.
STARTING WAGE: $25.00 - $30.00 / HOUR

REPORTA A: SUPERVISOR DE REGRIGERACION / CORPORATIVO DE REFRIGERACION PROPÓSITO:
Operar todo el equipo de refrigeración, llevar a cabo reparos eléctricos menores básicos, y reparo de mantenimiento y servicio de refrigeración en el equipo en todos los niveles y en completo cumplimiento con los requisitos de legales y de la compañía.
REQUISITOS DE TRABAJO:
• Debe tener experiencia mínima de dos años llevando a cabo operaciones o mantenimiento básico en equipo de refrigeración industrial.
• Entendimiento y experiencia en los requisitos regulatorios para PSM y RMP.
• Conocimiento básico en los programas de Microsoft Word, Excel y Outlook.
• Debe de poder leer y entender información escrita en inglés.
• Trabajo remoto no disponible para este puesto.
• Los viajes en el área de Bakersfield pueden ser frecuentes, entre el 10% y el 25% del tiempo, según sea necesario.
• Debe de contar con licencia de manejo valida de y un historial de manejo de DMV limpio.
• Debe pasar las evaluaciones de droga y alcohol, examen físico y de capacidad funcional. FUNCIÓN ESENCIAL DE TRABAJO:
Conseguir y mantener todas las certificaciones y ejecuciones de SOP. Entender y adherirse a todos los requisitos regulatorios de PSM y RMP. Llevar a cabo mantenimiento, reparo y operación de equipo de refrigeración industrial bajo poca supervisión en un nivel alto de aptitud. Llevar a cabo reparos menores eléctricos básicos bajo supervisión. Proveer explicación profesional clara y entrenar mientras se capacita a personal de menor grado. Vigilar el trabajo completado por el personal de menor grado, guiar y dirigir para mantener seguridad en el trabajo y evitar que los problemas aumenten. Completar de manera exitosa todo el entrenamiento de seguridad y de cumplimiento requerido y relevante para la posición. Pasar el examen para la cerificación CARO de RETA. Cumplir con los requisitos del Programa de Aptitud Eléctrica de Grimmway. Completar el programa de certificación Hazmat de 40 horas. Completar y mantener la certificación de Rescate en Espacios Confinados. Participación continua en el CA DMV Pull Notice Program del empleador. Llevar a cabo otras tareas asignadas por el supervisor. REQUISITOS FISICOS:
Debe ser capaz de operar un vehículo de motor. Capacidad para operar herramientas manuales y eléctricas. Capacidad para trabajar al aire libre. Capacidad para trabajar y construir equipos. Debe ser capaz de permanecer en una posición estacionaria durante gran parte del día laboral. Capacidad para moverse en instalaciones de procesamiento de alimentos (a veces a través de pasajes estrechos, en áreas húmedas o en plataformas elevadas). Capacidad para trabajar continuamente con productos y equipos a nivel del suelo. Capacidad para inspeccionar equipos y productos. Debe poder trabajar en diferentes temperaturas
(trabajando en temperaturas de hasta 100 a 110 F de caliente y hasta -20 F y 32 F de frio. Debe poder trabajar en áreas de alto ruido. Debe poder mover artículos de hasta 75 lbs. SUELDO INICIAL: $25.00 - $30.00 / HORA
