Experience: Bishop Lifting ǀ Rigger/Assembler ǀ 2022 to Present Precisely measure, cut, and assemble small cable assemblies based on customer specifications, ensuring the correct finished length and proper components are used in each assembly.
Use cutting tools and hand tools to cut cables, place sleeves on ends, and create loops for thimbles, while maintaining consistency in size and quality. Insert thimbles into the eye of each loop and press the sleeve three times, ensuring a secure and uniform press each time.
Verify the final length of each assembly using a ruler attached to the work table, ensuring accuracy down to the millimeter.
Measure the diameter of the pressed sleeve using a micrometer or gauge, confirming it meets the required specifications for proper fit and safety. Ensure compliance with all quality control standards and specifications to prevent defects in the final product.
