Dear Hiring Manager,
Iam writing to express my interest in the Officer, Film and Special Events role at the City of
Vancouver . With a strong background in film production, project management, and a passion
for fostering creative collaborations, I am confident in my ability to contribute to the success
and growth of the city’s film industry.
Ihave a college degree in Film Studies from Confederation College, and I have gained hands-
on experience for several years of film production in Vancouver and the surrounding area. In
my previous role as a Location’s Office Production Assistant, I was responsible for supporting
the local film community for many years from the productions side, learning the in’s and out’s
of filming in and around Vancouver. From the paperwork to the on the street level work, i
have learned what the communities have come to like and dislike about filming and other
special events. Uniquely equipping me with the ability to manage multiple tasks
simultaneously, build relationships with diverse stakeholders, and problem-solve in high-
pressure situations around Vancouver.
lam particularly drawn to the opportunity to work with the City of Vancouver because of your
commitment to supporting the local film and event industries, enhancing the local economy
through film and local events, Supporting and protecting interests of local communities around
the work of film and event planning.
In addition to my professional qualifications, I am passionate about supporting the local
