Inserts and special interest publications. The plant went through multiple ownerships/name changes, including Color Press, Quebecor, World

Color and was acquired in 2010 by Wisconsin based Quad/Graphics. The printing industry is adopting within an ever-evolving e-

communications environment resulting in plant closures, consolidations, and nationwide restructuring effecting me and many others.

Lead Press Operator / Team Leader

‘Lead, train, and direct a team in the set-up and operation of high speed, complex multi-color offset

web printing presses and auxiliary equipment.

Communicate, support, and adhere to detailed Quality Standards as specified for each customer and

adjust to the variations in detailed color standards that each customer demands achieving

consistency throughout the entire production run.

Energize and engage the team members by providing constructive feedback and daily praise. Clearly

* Evaluate problems by investigating underlying causes to generate solutions for errors and prioritize

jobs during equipment breakdowns.

Representatives with technical issues and recommendations.

© Oversee the preparation of the press for operation by verifying proper documentation, web-

threading procedures, and inspecting, adjusting, or replacing slitter knives. Set register, mount

plates, maintain water supply center, and adjust amounts for proper ink solution.

* Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment. Coordinating

preventative maintenance programs to achieve maximum efficiency with limited downtime.

© Operate material handling equipment as necessary such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

I started from the bottom in an entry level production position and my desire to learn, leadership skills,
