Provide leadership and supervision to a team of contact representatives who assist veterans in enrolling in the VA enrollment system. Determine educational and training needs for the team. Ensure that proper resources and training are provided to achieve goals and objectives. Address and promptly resolve facility and customer inquiries/complaints on the program and services by the appropriate deadlines.

Kansas Neurological Institute

Directed the operations of the Neurological Institute (KNI), providing support to 128 adults with developmental disabilities. Ensured that the person-centered philosophy is provided to people who live at KNI so they can have the quality of life they deserve by recognizing their individuality, honoring their choices, and protecting and maintaining their health. Indirectly oversaw 450 staff providing support, including nursing, habilitation services, Human Resources, business office staff, maintenance/security, laundry and custodial staff and all staff providing direct support. Collaborated closely with the parent/guardian group as well as the Superintendents of other state hospitals including Larned State Hospital, Osawatomie, and Parsons.

Oversaw and directed all adult day and residential services to over one hundred adults with developmental disabilities across the state of Kansas. Indirectly supervised approximately 150 staff members supporting adults. Collaborated closely with parents and guardians of individuals receiving services. Collaborated with the Board of Trustees, volunteers, and community members. Developed Extra Ordinary and Individualized Rate funding requests for adults receiving services. Worked closely with three Managed Care Organizations.

Founded the not for profit organization. As CEO oversaw all operations of Individual Support Systems, supporting adults with developmental disabilities in Shawnee County, Kansas. Directed all operations of the company including managing and overseeing 150 employees. Ensured support and services for one hundred adults with developmental disabilities to live independently in their homes and communities while leading lives with choice, dignity, and opportunity. Worked closely with the Board of Directors and the Community Developmental Disability Organization.
