Client: State of Minnesota - Department of Corrections (DOC) 12/2023 – Current

IT Project Manager

Initiating, planning, and implementing new a Virtual Courts system with Cisco’s Video Visitation System (VVS) software.

Expertise in driving project progress working with 11 different facilities, 35 cross-functional team members and multiple vendors simultaneously.

Coordinated and initiated all IT efforts for the installation of 105 devices at all facilities. Encompassing device integration, testing, and operationalizing each one of them with Cisco’s software.

Successfully integrated 105 new devices into the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system from start to finish. Ensuring the new devices were able to be tracked and monitored through the whole EAM process.

Jump started negotiations and procurement with a vendor for Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) implementation across 13 different locations and 7,000 employees in compliance with FBI, Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) regulations.

Led a successful Financial System Implementation of a cloud computing software system for the DOC’s Accounting and Finance Department, working with the vendor, OpenGov, and a large cross functional team.

Project 1: Electronic Prescribing for Controlled Substances

Led a Nationwide project to address the Federal Mandate of Electronic Prescribing for Controlled Substances.

Managed and coordinated all project dependencies and the critical paths for each Provider.

Created a custom RAID log and Issue tracking system to identify and overcome each project obstacle. This resulted in shortening the project timeframe from 6-12 months down to 3 months saving the company over 30% of the budget.

Teamed with each vendor to streamline the security procedures used to verify Provider’s identity on their mobile devices. Increased the time to clear security by 25% by just clearing up the communication and directions for use.

Project 2: Epic Optimization (EHR)

Defined and communicated the scope of an Epic optimization project for Unconverted and Open Encounters.
