Nigeria Rail Concession – Working on $2 billion rail concession won from Nigerian Federal Government. Providing internal financing roadmap and identified key contingency issues around a potential bankability of the concession.

Provided advice to South Africa partners who won a tender to provide 200 MW of LNG gas to power in Namibia including providing direction on equity, debt and mezzanine investors.

Actively advised internal GE stakeholders, GE customer and Angolan Government on

$424 million ECA financing for large transportation project – deal closed in Q4 2016

Structured equity consortium and debt funders (commercial and ECA) for $75 million in support of 50MW solar power project for large listed gold company in South Africa

Drove consortium building and total capital raising for large mining tender submission for 150 MW solar plant submitted in early Q4 2016.

Pioneered idea and designed blueprint structure for innovative and first-of-its-kind million GE supplier development investment fund of $25 million. The Fund is being used as both GE South Africa’s black empowerment investment vehicle and provide expansion capital to black SMEs feeding into GE’s supply chain; one of leaders of team that evaluated and negotiated with 3rd Fund Manager to run the GE fund.

Drove financing strategy for $115 MM hybrid power project with Gov’t of Chad and private sector stakeholders – project still on-going.

Devised both on- (e.g. back-to-back lease structures) and off-balance sheet solutions for

the Namibian government for several sectors in infrastructure.

Arranged ECA financing for locomotive opportunity in Cameroon for $50 million in support transportation infrastructure PPP between Gov’t of Cameroon and Ballore.

Facilitated USAID Development Credit Authority support for landmark PPP project for Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital whereby GE and USAID will provide co-partial risk guarantees for the healthcare equipment placed into the hospital

Lead negotiator for $50 million partial risk-sharing guarantee program created with a local South African commercial bank for GE Healthcare in Southern Africa
