• Collaborated with a PhD student to provide new insights into the environmental impacts posed by the increasing number of recycled lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) by using furnaces, solid state extraction, and data analysis
• Subjected several binders used in LIBs to pyrolysis to determine products created during industrial level lithium-ion battery recycling, with a special focus in per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) content
