SYSTEMS SUPRIVISOR City of Redlands

As the Systems Supervisor at the City of Redlands, I am responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of the city's information technology systems. My role is crucial in ensuring that all IT infrastructure and services are operating effectively and efficiently to support the city's operations and public services. (Apr 2024 - Present)

Key Responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance, upgrading, and performance of the city's IT infrastructure.

Directed operational and strategic planning for the IM&T Department of this manufacturer of pharmaceutical injectables. Managed operational and strategic planning, including promoting innovation, project planning, management and resource allocation negotiation. Oversaw IT experts.

Deployed, maintained, developed, upgraded and supported IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals for 150+ onsite users. Researched new technological products, and procured new hardware/software. Monitored the department's budget and finances. Recruited, supervised, scheduled, and evaluated IT staff. (2021 to 2023)

SENIOR INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGER Landmark Health - Huntington Beach, CA

Responsible for all network and technical services at this company that provides in-home health care patient services. Supported 2,000+ employees working out of 30 offices in 15 states. Oversaw a team of 4 Infrastructure Engineers. Reviewed the hardware, software, licensing and labor costs for all projects for inclusion in the yearly $1 million to $3 million budget. (2014 to 2021)

Managed 600TB of data by developing and implementing an optimal and efficient network infrastructure.

Partnered with all teams to assist in managing systems.

Continually reviewed vendors to ensure quality of products and optimal pricing.

Projects & Special Responsibilities:

Designed and built a network infrastructure that handles 600 terabytes of data. Worked closely with Dell consultants on the 1-5 year planning process. Managed the entire scope of the project. Incorporated VMware, Microsoft Server, RightFax, Fortinet, Commvault and Vormetric Server Encryption. Implemented the DR (Disaster Recovery) plan and planned for high demand requirements. Successfully migrated 50 VM’s from Private Cloud to internal equipment, with zero downtime.

Enabled an increase from office computers to 1,000+ remote users during COVID-19.

Ensured HIPAA compliance for the entire network. Acted as liaison with Security and Compliance Teams to implement updates.

Also designed a back-end infrastructure for data governance. Worked with HADOOP to design a new environment within HIPAA compliance.

Promoted from Systems Administrator / Lead Network Engineer. Supported the company during a period of rapid growth, when it expanded from 36 employees to 2,000 within five years. Achieved an outstanding record of minimal downtime.

Private Cloud to Own Equipment - Designed a VMware environment with host servers. Tested and implemented the new system. Developed migration plans for 20-30 terabytes.

New Office Expansion - Collaborated with onsite IT Teams to set up all networks, Internet connections, cabling and hardware interfaces for multiple new offices.
