Experience
October 1, 2023 –
November 1, 2024
• Took 1 whole year off to work on projects needed around the house that have been neglected due to parents health and age, along with the normal hustle and bustle of everyday busy lives. Redid the entire landscaping structure and design on both sides in the back yard, the front of the house, as well as the side. So, everything was up to date and made my mom happy.
November 1, 2022 – September 2023
• Worked on and off most days I could function at Bernie’s Inc. opening in the AM / PM, creating spreadsheets for daily / monthly totals brought in, supplies & inventory. Jobs that wouldn’t tire me out as much as a full pace hectic job at USPS. Each day building my strength back up and trying to gain weight back.
May 2021 - October 2022
• Leave of absence due to 13 of 15 rounds radiation and 2 regular & 1 aggressive rounds of chemotherapy – into my with drawl from USPS all together.
October 6, 2018 – January 5, 2019
• Seasonal (1st shift) - USPS at O’Hare Airport, CISMC, Chicago, Illinois
Personal Service Employee • I worked in Military Racks, sorting packages into different wire cages to be sent out to the APO/DPO sites for our military soldiers during the holidays.
October 5, 2019 – January 4, 2020
January 3, 2020
April 21, 2021
• Seasonal (1st shift) – USPS at O’Hare Airport, Annex Building. 513 Express Center Drive, Chicago, Illinois (rented) for overload packages and sorting.
• Started first week working the belt of bullpen pulling package from conveyor and putting into tall boxes (gaylords) to be shipped out to our soldiers for the holidays – had to be quick and on point and check the markings on boxes as to whether it was an APO or DPO address
• Second week I was pulled and asked to shadow the 2 expeditors running the floor on both sides of the conveyor belt and after 2 days each I was put on the floor myself with access to M-tag reports, printing sheets to attach to all shipping parcels being sent out and putting my signature on it showing that it was approved for shipment
• Was given letter from Human Resources offering me a 360 PSE Position as a step in the direction of a full-time position within the USPS work field. • Work on the floor sweeping, this meant tying bags when full and pulling equipment needed to be sent out for shipment in a fast-paced workspace where one must pay attention at all times - before being sent upstairs to key packages, which was one of my strengths.
• Turned over full time as a FT Clerk and had to bid into a new unit and time slot for working – that was the protocol for this job.
June 2015 – October 2018
• Started full time working for my aunt at Bernie’s Inc., Chicago, Illinois - given a Host/Manager position but also to be available for any shift if someone didn’t show up or if extra help was needed in a specific area.
March 19, 2002 – June 10, 2015

March 19, 2002-2007 • Portage Park Elementary School, Chicago, Illinois - Special Ed. Classroom Assistant
• Worked in the primary grades with a boy with Muscular Dystrophy
• Assisted the student with walking to and from the classroom to lunch or other activities and assisted with toileting at times with another adult present from kindergarten – 3rd grade when the parents transferred both my student and his brother out when they moved.
ֽ• Worked with another student the following school with High-functioning Autism, he just needed an assistant to stay on track of what he was working on at that present time and needed guidance in PE class & recess due to outburst he would often have and wind up lost somewhere not able to resume what he was working on by himself in a 1st grade classroom setting.
• Following year I was asked to go back down and work with a new student coming into Kindergarten with a spinal injury from birth and needed extra care / help getting around from specialty classes to lunch / recess and toiletry duties – however I was soon replaced 4 months in due to new position being opened and offered the office position since I can type 150-165 words and they needed someone to just take the reigns and not ask to many questions or need much guidance.
