Responsible for developing, coordinating and administrating technical training, safety and environmental training.

Advised field personnel of operational codes (PHMSA), standards and local, state and federal laws to ensure understanding and compliances. Responsible for coordination, implementation, training and compliance of company rules and regulations pertaining to OSHA, DOT, EPA Federal, State and Local rules and regulations required for the regions.

Developed, conducted and coordinated OQ technical training. Guidance for Gas Procedures Standards and Emergency Response. Maintained records for training, testing and evaluations for Safety and Apprenticeship programs, auditing and surveys per Company and Federal Regulations. Develop and implement the EHS Program for use of Management in project execution. Responsible for the operation of an EFW facility which consisted of steam generators, condensing turbine with controlled extraction for exporting steam, and water-cooled generator, pulsejet air baghouse using Atlas Capco air compressors with dryers. Other major equipment includes air compressors with dryers, demineralizer, overhead cranes, ash handling equipment, including Ferrous and Non-Ferrous recovery systems along with refuse compactors. Over saw Supervisor’s, Control Room Operators, Auxiliary Operators and Utility Personnel and Maintenance of the facility which included PM’s (Preventative Maintenance) using the Maximo system. Also, responsible for the operation of the District Heating Plant (DHCO), which consisted of four steam generators, export steam system for heating and cooling, in the Grand Rapids area. Training Coordinator and Safety Coordinator responsible for: Technical and Safety training, overseeing Hazard Communication, Material Safety Data, Accident Prevention, Contractor Safety, Lock Out/ Tag Out, Confine Space, which includes Rescue team, Emergency Action Plan, Fire Safety and Fire Protection equipment, Exposure Monitoring, use of Gillian Industrial Hygiene monitoring equipment for Industrial Hygiene, along with Quest Dosimeter testing, which included Medical Surveillance and, TSI Porta Count for Respirator Fit Testing, Chemical Process Safety Management (PSM), SARA reporting along with maintaining and updating several Safety and Technical Training Procedures and producing and overseeing JSA’s and organized the facility to meet MIOSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star status. Conduct weekly, monthly, and annual reports for facility, region and corporate, and conduct monthly and annual audits of the facility and report back to region and corporate. Maintained and set up annual budget for Safety and Training Departments.
