Electronics Technician
U.S. Navy - Cape Cod, MA - November 1990 to November 1996
Duties: Calibration and repair of electronic test equipment on board the U.S.S. Cape Cod (AD-43). Perform
calibration runs on electronic test equipment and take the data results and make adjustments to measuring
device based on the data specs as listed in the Equipment Cal. Procedure. Troubleshoot failures down to
component level and remove/replace component(s) with soldering techniques (standard/micro repair) obtained
in schools and on the job training. I was the Damage Control petty officer for our shop (R4/67B). I was in
charge of all maintenance checks and testing of all safety equipment and all tag out cards and logs for any
equipment, ensuring equipment and personnel safety was kept at all times. Deployed on WESTPAC Jan. 93 to
the Persian Gulf for 6 months. During this deployment I calibrated/repaired the DC panel meters in the Nuclear
Power facility on board the U.S.S. Truxton.
