Company : Allstate Insurance Co., Northbrook, Chicago, IL Jan 2014 – March 2024 Title : Test Engineer/QC Lead (Automation and Manual )/Portfolio Lead Description: Allstate Insurance is a leading Insurance company, offering insurance for various products for e.g. Auto, Home, Renters, Condo, Motorcycle, Business and Life. Responsibilities: Responsible for all the projects coming under Enterprise House and home program. Also responsible for projects included in other portfolios such as Compliance and Auto. I was responsible for them to be completed and delivered on time. This results in leading and managing multiple projects at one time along with other responsibilities like:

Liaison with Business and technology partners.

Conducting daily standups, sprint planning and retro for various small testing applications working on scrum methodologies.

Implementing and finalizing testing strategies.

Working closely with the team and leads and providing them support on all testing related issues including test planning, strategy development, defect triage, escalations and risk management. Analyzing projects to be eligible candidate for automation and then proceeding automating and designing test strategies.

Description : Insurance Auto Auctions (www.iaai.com)is one of the leading North American salvage auto auctions company since 1982 with more than 150 branches all over USA. IAAI is a company with the largest facility footprint, strong buyer base and high auction returns. IAAI applications are built on ASP.net and VB.net technologies. IAAI was launching an audio app in companion with buyer app which enables buyer to listen to the live auction happening at the auction place available via smart phones. This project also involved a third party vendor called Xcira, which was a leading provider company in simulcasting auction software. This application enabled online bidders with expertly crafted live audio of real time bidding and integrates them with onsite bidders at auction places anywhere. We were using agile mythology for the development of this project. Besides handling basic QA responsibilities of developing test Plan, creating test data and executing test cases, I was also involved with testing this application from Iphones, attending checkpoints meeting, arranging scrum meetings, coordinating with vendor Xcira for defects using checklist. Internal defects have been tracked via MTM. Responsibilities:
